The use of iPad in occupational therapy with children with special needs. Subtitle: Focusing on children with neurological findings in preschool age

of the Thesis: The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to create a manual on iPad use for parents of children with special needs. The manual will be used in home-based therapy, which will be parents able to guide without continuous supervision of a professional worker. The theoretical part deals with the general procedures and methodologies of occupational therapy in the field of paediatrics, especially for children with special needs. In addition, the thesis discusses the use of technology, games and other apps in therapy, as well as the safety risks of overuse and misuse. The role of the family in the child's rehabilitative care and in home-based therapy is an integral part of the work. The practical part is based on a practical verification of the effectiveness of the tablet as a rehabilitation tool and the subsequent creation of a manual for working with the iPad. Support for People with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess support for people with autism spectrum disorders in the Czech Republic and to document an improvement in this field. The theoretical part of this thesis defines special needs of a person with autism spectrum disorder and his or her family and describes means of support and social services for the group. This part also includes brief history of civil society organisations that have contributed to the progress the most - Autistik and APLA. The next part analyzes experiences of parents of children with autism spectrum disorders compiled in a biographical survey. The outcome of this paper is a comprehensive presentation of issues concerning the life of people with autism spectrum disorders and their families in our country. This thesis also identified the means of support that are the most useful for this group.
Importance of nannies in a family of a child with special needs

This thesis deals with the problems of babysitting children with special needs. The theoretical part is primarily devoted to the characteristics of healthy child development. Consequently, it provides a comparison of optimal child development with the development of handicapped children. It highlights the difficulty of care for disadvantaged children, the importance of preventing parents becoming overloaded and the various possibilities for support of the families. The next chapter focuses on the educational assessment of healthy children and children with special needs. It describes the availability of babysitting services for those children, the offers of current agencies and the profile of good quality carers. The last chapter presents the empirical part of this thesis. The quantitative research was, with the use of questionnaires, addressed to the parents of children with special needs. This section presents the course of the research and the method by which the goals were attained. It presents the views of parents of children with special needs with regards to: their level of interest in, and the problems with, babysitting services. Personal assistant and assistant at primary school

Bakalářská práce se zabývá integrací žáků se speciálními potřebami a přizpůsobením školní výuky. Zdůrazňuji profesi asistenta pedagoga, která by bez integrace těchto žáků do běžných škol nikdy nevznikla a profesi osobního asistenta, kteří také působí na základní škole, ale nejsou však pedagogickým personálem. Práce poukazuje na klady a zápory, které přináší profese pomáhajícího. Jaké nebezpečí mohou zaměstnance postihnout, jaké jsou práva a povinnosti asistenta pedagoga a zároveň jasně vyjadřuje rozdíly mezi osobním asistentem a asistentem pedagoga. Do jakého rezortu patří, jak jsou finančně ohodnoceny, jaká kvalifikace musí být pro danou profesi. K danému tématu není dostatek literatury a studií. Práce proto vychází z různých zdrojů a názorů pracovníků. Profese asistent pedagoga se dále rozvíjí a zdokonaluje se ruku v ruce se speciální pedagogikou a začleňováním dětí se speciálními potřebami do běžné společnosti. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Satisfaction of parents with inclusion of their child in physical education

Conclusion: These results suggest that PE teachers, school managers should account for parent satisfaction when making decision for better inclusive PE classes for children with special education needs. Social demographics could also play a role in how parents perceive inclusive PE.
